    From the Florida Department of Health Escambia County: Effective immediately, in response to air quality monitoring, the FDOH-Escambia is issuing a health alert for the area surrounding the Wedgewood Community Center and the Rolling Hill Construction and Demolition Landfill in Escambia County, Florida.

Tropical Depression 2 has formed over the Atlantic Ocean. The system is moving west and is headed to the Caribbean Sea. This system is not forecast to become much stronger and could become non-tropical by Thursday.

A loophole in Florida law gives drunken drivers an incentive to run if they are in a fatal accident...
State lawmakers are closing in on hit and run drivers.
For each of the last two years more than 70,000 people here in Florida had been the victim of a hit and run driver.

Killing someone while driving drunk carries a four year minimum sentence in state prison. There are no minimum sentences for someone who isn't drunk. Advocates say the discrepancy is a loophole being user far too often.

On average just over three people are killed by a hit and run driver every week here in Florida. The legislation is being named for Miami-man, bicyclist Aaron Cohen, he was one of the 2012 statistics.
