Alabama Doctor walks in winter storm to save a patient

An Alabama neurosurgeon didn't let Tuesday's snowstorm keep him from saving a patient's life.

The Doctor was at Brookwood Medical Center when he was needed for emergency brain surgery at another hospital in Birmingham,
Well he didn't let anything get in between him and his job.
Traffic was at a stand still due to the snow and ice, so the Doctor took off on foot and walked six miles to reach the hospital.
"He had a 90 percent chance of death. And the nurses and the ER Physician called me while I was walking he was telling me he was deteriorated and went  into unconsciousness...he was dying. So if he didn't have surgery he'd be
dead and it's not going to happen on my shift..."

The Doctor was Trinity's only brain surgeon and without the surgery, the patient would have likely died waiting.
