YOUR THREE CENTS: Should Florida do away with greyhound racing?

Some Florida lawmakers are taking the first steps to end greyhound racing in the state.
There are a dozen greyhound tracks in Florida including the one in Pensacola.
A major reason why many of them are still around is the state law that allows poker rooms at the tracks and requires a business with a gambling license to operate a dog track.
Two bills now in committee in Tallahassee are designed to begin dismantling the greyhound industry.
One bill would separate gambling from dog racing.
Another would require tracks to make reports about greyhound injuries public.
Lawmakers are also concerned about the number of greyhound deaths... 74 just last year.
One lawmaker calls the sport a silent holocaust.
