"Pedaling Pickens Bicycle Tours

FORT PICKENS  --   Entrance to Fort Pickens and the rest of the Gulf Islands National Seashore is free this weekend, for President's Day.
While you're there.
You can ask about the park's "Pedaling Pickens Bicycle Tours."
The tours will be offered on Saturdays - March 1st, 8th, and 29th.
They all start at ten in the morning and cover a four mile route, taking about an hour.

Mike Aymond/Park Ranger: "You're out there in nature, you're not making any noise, you're getting some exercise so you're burning your own calories, but you're not burning any carbon, so there's so many reasons why bicycling is a good way to enjoy the park."
The tour is free with admission to the park.
You do have to bring your own bike, and kids have to wear a helmet.
