Teacher of the Year

SANTA ROSA COUNTY  --  A big congratulations today for 4th grade teacher Danielle Clark.
She is Holley-Navarre Intermediate School's Teacher of the Year and today she found out she earned the county-wide honor as well.

Her students call themselves "Clark's Campers."
She says, her goal - every day - is to make the children feel loved and important.

"I've always wanted to be a teacher.
I'm very, very lucky and blessed to have been chosen to represent not only my school but my county."

I want to make sure that they feel loved and that they feel like they're an important part of our classroom and that they matter and just really wanting to help others and to make our world a better place.

Clark has been teaching at Holley-Navarre Intermediate for 10 years.
She also was a student there when she was child.

The Okaloosa Teacher of the Year will be announced on February 20th.
The Escambia County Teacher of the Year on February 27th.
