Local doctor offers free eye exams

A local doctor is helping those in need. He's offering to give hearing and vision checks for free to those with low or fixed incomes  - and no insurance.

Eye exams, eye glasses, hearing test, hearing aids and some medications. For more than 30 years Doctor Gene Terrezza has offered his talents to those who are most in need in our community. Through the doctors with a heart program, the doctor provides free eye and hearing exams.

If a person needs glasses or a hearing aid after they receive their test results Doctor Terrezza says he will provide them. Beginning Wednesday morning those who want to partake in the program have to call one of three locations where the doctor will be offering the program. Candidates must answer a series of questions to qualify. Once approved the person will be given an appointment time for Friday February 14th.

"This is just done by me, by my rules so that we can facilitate how things are being done."
