HEALTH NEWS: Winter Depression

Winter can be a tough season.
Not only is it cold outside, but gloomy days and longer nights can bring on the blues.

It's estimated at least 12 million Americans suffer from a type of depression called seasonal affective disorder.
Doctors say the brain goes through a chemical imbalance due to a lack of sunlight and being stuck indoors which can lead to a number of symptoms such as fatigue, lack of energy and difficulty concentrating.
They say exercising more and spending more time with family and friends are good ways to combat the on-set of depression.
