Heavy snow, strong winds and limited visibility have stalled air travel this morning.

"It was supposed to leave today, but it's scheduled to leave on Sunday so now I'm trying to find a way to get out of here."

A Nor'easter has forced the cancellation of thousands of flights.
Today more than one thousand flights already canceled and more than two thousand flights canceled yesterday.

Chicago's O'Hare International Airport is the hardest-hit with over 650 halted flights accounting for most of the country's headaches.

That is causing a ripple effect for air travelers in nearly every state.
Even though folks may not be flying to places like Boston and New York, because those airports are such important components in the aviation network that can have a domino effect on flights not even going to those locations."

Both local airports are experiencing delays.
Right now Pensacola International Airport has one incoming and one outgoing flight to Nashville that is delayed.

And the Northwest Florida Regional Airport has four flights that are delayed.

They include an incoming flight and outgoing flight to Atlanta.
And an incoming flight and outgoing flight to Dallas.

Air travelers are being advised to check with their airlines, be patient and expect lots of delays!
