Seatlle Seahawks player Doug Baldwin played at Gulf Breeze HS

This weekend is Super Bowl Sunday.
The Seattle Seahawks will play the Denver Bronco's at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
   
The big game is always a big deal for fans all over the nation.
But there is a local  Seahawks connection that has one family rooting for Number 89.

"This is where it all started for Doug Baldwin right here on the Gulf Breeze High School football field now he's heading to the Super  Bowl."
   
Doug Baldwin graduated from Gulf Breeze High School in 2007..
Head Football Coach Chris Nemith says coaching Baldwin was a privilege..
Chris Nemith "He sat in my office he said coach I'm going to go to a D1 school, I want to play in the NFL, and I want to be a Super Bowl player."   
   
From Gulf Breeze he attended Stanford University and played as a wide receiver for the team..
   
In 2011 he was drafted in the NFL..
"I'm proud and I'm glad to see that there is a young man that is living his dream and thats he one thing that us a s adults in the educational field and as coaches we need to let our kids dream."
   
As big of a fan as Coach Nemith is of Baldwins... No one compares to his family..
Especially his Auntie Monica Baldwin     She's  also the president of his local fan club.

Monica Baldwin  "He says Auntie I had a dream about this, but I never dreamed that it would come to the NFL, but I said sometimes Doug when you dream God knows your dreams and your dreams come true."
   
She says Baldwins love for football started young...
Monica Baldwin "I'm talking 12 months old he's always loved football."
   
Dougs parents have already left to attended the game in New Jersey..
The rest of the family will celebrate here locally...

Monica Baldwin "We will be screaming from the top of our lungs, you know happy, excited for him, you know just loving him all the way...All the way."

"Doug's family and friends can't wait to watch him Sunday in the big game."
