HEALTH NEWS: Journal Addiction releases study of dangers of drinking alcohol
There's a new study about the dangers of drinking alcohol.
The Journal Addiction found nearly 80,000 people die each year, as a result of drinking alcohol in North and Latin America.
Men accounted for 84-percent of alcohol-related deaths.
Researchers found liver disease was the most common cause of death, but they linked a wide range of diseases and conditions to alcohol use including heart disease, stroke, epilepsy, and suicides.
So how much is too much?
According to the CDC, heavy drinking is defined as having more than one drink per day for women and two drinks for men.
