Gulf Breeze teen declared "Not" competent to stand trial for mother's death
GULF BREEZE -- The Gulf Breeze teenager accused of killing his mother on Christmas Eve will *not* stand trial, at least for now.
A Santa Rosa County judge ruled that 17-year-old William Brandon Aydelott is not competent and is unfit for trial at this time.
Investigators say he stabbed his mother Sharon Aydelott, and beat her with a baseball bat.
He has pleaded -not- guilty to first degree murder.
The judge ordered Aydelott to spend six months at the Florida State Hospital for further mental evaluation.
The court will reconsider his competency on July 14th.
