Top ranking military leader relieved of command at Hurlburt Field

A top ranking military leader at Hurlburt Field has been relieved of his command.

Brigadier General Jon Weeks was relieved from command of the Air Force Special Operations Air Warfare Center yesterday.

The Air Force says it was due to a loss of trust and confidence in his leadership.
The move comes after an investigation by the Inspector General into an alleged inappropriate personal relationship involving Weeks.

Colonel Royce Lott, Vice Commander for Special Ops Air Warfare Center, is now the interim commander.

Pending the results of the investigation, Weeks is temporarily assigned to another position.
