Five locals sentenced in BP Fraud cases

NORTHWEST FLORIDA  --  Five people from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties are going to federal prison on fraud charges related to the BP oil spill.

Charles Martin and Joseph Doyon of Pace pleaded guilty to mail fraud and filing false claims.
Martin received a 2 year sentence and Doyon was sentenced to 1 year.
Last month, Marquis Seals, Bernard Cook and Tremayne Jamison - all of Pensacola - were sentenced.
Prosecutors say Martin, Doyon, Seals and Cook all lied about their income on BP oil spill claims.
Jamison is accused of filing a false reports in connection with the oil spill.
The men will have to pay back more than 85,000 dollars to the oil spill trust.
