Escambia Co. woman deemed unfit to stand trial

An Escambia County woman accused of murder is 'unfit' to stand trial.
Investigators say Kiesha Pugh, Anthony Pressley and Gregory Williams beat Melinda McCormick with a crowbar and set fire to the bed she was on, in March last year.
A judge ruled this morning that Pugh is mentally incompetent because tests show her IQ is in the 50's.
That's well below the threshold for being "intellectually disabled."
Pressley was also deemed mentally incompetent for trial late last year.
Both will be admitted into a state hospital and periodically re-evaluated for competency.
Williams is expected in court next month.
