New "Florida welcome signs

FLORIDA  --  The Florida Department of Transportation wants to attract more visitors to the sunshine state.

They are starting at the Florida-Alabama state line by replacing the "Welcome" signs.
The plan is to have 30 foot high twin towers connected with a bridge with the words "Florida Welcomes You."
But it's going to cost about 2.8 million dollars.
The signs will be on I-10, I-75, and I-95.
It's all a  part of Florida's push to get  a 100 million people visit the state each year.

When people come to our state, they want to know they are in Florida, when they leave think maybe I want to come back to Florida to live and do business here

The new signage is expected to go up the fall of 2015.
