Local family fights to keep their pet pig

PENSACOLA   --  A Pensacola family is asking the city to change a livestock ordinance to allow them to keep their pot-belly pig.

Laura Kirkman received a letter from the city in October saying she has 6 months to get rid of her pig, Buttercup.

According to the city's livestock ordinance, Buttercup is not allowed to live within city limits.

They'll meet with city council members next week, to ask for permission to keep Buttercup in their home.
