Pensacola man gives out grandpa's secret for catching mullet

PENSACOLA   --  The cold weather helped some Pensacola fishermen catch a big mess of mullet.

Tommy Briggs and his friend cast their nets off a bridge on Bayou Texar.
When it gets this cold, the mullet come out of the gulf looking for warmer waters.
It's a secret Briggs has known for a long time.

Tommy Briggs/Catching Mullet:  "My grandfather, years ago, before he passed away, taught me about it, and I've just always followed what he said. He always told me when to go down there and usually, he was right."
Briggs said he'd caught at least 75 mullet.
He plans to hold a big fish fry for his family.
