Fire at home off Ora drive

The State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire and series of explosions at an Escambia County home Friday morning.

Flames were showing when firefighters arrived at the home on Ora drive.
They had it out in about 30 minutes.

But it damaged more than half of the home and destroyed two cars parked under an awning.

Investigators believe the explosions probably came from aerosol cans.
No one was inside when the fire started.

Josh Keller, a neighbor, said "I glanced over here and seen this flame, it must have been 40 feet high, and somebody said there was some ammunition blowing up, it was almost like a war zone,"

The damage is estimated at 70-thousand dollars.
