Prosecutor says football schedule will not dictate inquiry time

The prosecutor investigating the sexual assault allegations against FSU Quarterback Jameis Winston says he won't let football dictate when he will wrap up his inquiry.

State Attorney William Meggs launched an investigation into an alleged sexual battery on November 13th.

The investigation centers on an incident that occurred in December 2012.
Meggs initially estimated it would only take a few weeks for prosecutors to determine whether to charge Winston.

Winston's attorney last week publicly complained about the pace of the investigation.
