UPDATE: Tom Thumb robbery

SANTA ROSA COUNTY - Santa Rosa County deputies are looking for a woman who robbed a store in Holley-Navarre Monday night.  Surveillance video from the Tom Thumb on Highway 87 has been released to help identify the suspect.

When Mandy Espy passed the Tom Thumb on her way to work, she noticed several deputies parked outside.

"That is the second time they've been robbed in the last year. It's kind of weird it is a woman" said Mandy Espy, "Cricket's Hideout"

The surveillance camera inside the store shows a woman walking into the store dressed in black.  She pulls out a gun and demands money from the clerk.  Then after she takes the cash deputies say she told the clerk "I'm sorry" and "Merry Christmas".

"That's a cheesy way out of it,  she went in with a plan and left in a guilty conscience" said Espy.

Mandy manages 'Cricket's Hideout' a block away from the Tom Thumb.  The robbery now has her worried.

"It does concern me because you have strangers that walk in here every day so you never know what might happen in here" said Espy.

For Susan Slyfield, timing is everything.  Around the time of the robbery, she planned to pick up some eggnog from Tom Thumb, but something held her back.

"I don't know why I didn't, I guess it just got a bit late but I was very glad I didn't because that's not a situation I'd want to run in on" said Susan Slyfield, lives near Tom Thumb.

The Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office is still looking for the suspect.  If you have any information, call crime stoppers, (850) 437-STOP.
