Decision will be announced in Jameis Winston case today

The prosecutor handling the alleged sexual assault case against Jameis Winston will make an announcement today about whether charges will be filed.

If Winston is charged with sexual battery, FSU's Code of Conduct mandates he be immediately suspended until the case is resolved.

But there **is a stipulation of "extraordinary circumstances" which means FSU administrators could still allow him to play.

FSU will play in the ACC Championship this Saturday and could go on to the national title game.

Winston was named ACC Player of the Year Wednesday.   He's the first freshman to ever have the title.

He is also a favorite for the Heisman trophy.
State Attorney Willie Meggs will announce his decision at one this afternoon.
