Defective garbage incinerators sent to Army Corps

The US Army Corps of engineers burned millions of dollars without actually lighting the cash on fire.

According to the Inspector General, the Corps spent more than five million dollars on a pair of defective garbage incinerators.
By the time the contractor delivered to an operating base in Afghanistan, they were nearly 900-hundred days overdue.

The Corps took the delivery, despite the fact the machines were not tested to see if they worked.
"This is the third example where we looked at incinerators and we found incinerators that didn't work, weren't built correctly or were never used."

The corps disputes many of the findings of the Inspector General.
