First graduates of PSC Graphic Design management degree

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  Pensacola State College's first four-year graphic design students are showing off their work.

The exhibit includes designs for books covers, posters, and skateboard decks in addition to more traditional fine art paintings.

Nine students are finishing the program this year.
They'll be the first to earn Bachelor of Applied Science degrees in Graphic Design Management.

Miranda Anderson, PSC Graphic Design Student:
"I've always been into art, into fine art and the graphic design thing just really appealed to me because it was something new and something I knew I could get a job in."

Mark Hopkins, PSC Department of Visual Arts:
"The community will be amazed at how talented our students are and how well-planned they put together the projects they worked on over the last four years."

The exhibit is in the Devilliers Square building, at the corner of Belmont and Devilliers Streets in Pensacola...

They have a reception going on until eight tonight...
And the work will be on display through tomorrow.
