Scott asks that teacher raises be finalized

Governor Rick Scott is asking school superintendents to finalize pay raises for teachers again.

Legislators set aside almost 500 million dollars to pay for raises this spring.
Only 28 school districts out of the 67 in Florida have finalized pay raises.
Escambia and Okaloosa County are among those that have finalized the raises, Santa Rosa has not.
Scott wants the remaining districts to finish negotiations immediately.
That way, teachers can start receiving their raises by the beginning of 2014.
