Laying of the Wreath ceremony

Veterans were honored with a Holiday Wreath laying ceremony Saturday, hosted by the Barrancas National cemetery.

It's all for a National event called "Wreath Across America," honoring Veterans from each branch of the military.

It's a tradition that hits close to home for many locals, as wreaths were laid at Veterans' cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states.

Jeanne Jackson said, "Daddy died in 2002, and he was 89. He served World War ll, he was in the Pacific some and he was in Europe some."
Douglass Mehle said, "We have a friend out here, Jimmy Glasgow who is buried. An old family friend and we wanted to make sure there was a wreath on his grave."

The wreaths were donated by the Worcester Wreath Company.
