911 tape released of Aydelott crime scene

The teenager accused of killing his mother on Christmas Eve will have his first appearance in adult court today.

17-year-old William Brandon Aydelott was in juvenile court Friday and we are not allowed to show his face. The judge told Aydelott that he will be transferred to the Santa Rosa County jail and tried as an adult. Santa Rosa County deputies say Sharon Aydelott was stabbed multiple times and beaten with a baseball bat.

State Attorney Bill Eddins is asking a grand jury to indict the teen on a charge of premeditated first degree murder.

A 911 tape released reveals it was Sharon Aydelott's estranged husband who found the brutal murder scene inside her home. We will warn you the recording is very graphic.

Out of breath and crying for help, Sharon Aydelott's estranged husband William Aydelott made an emotional 911 call hoping to save her life.

Around 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve night William Aydelott discovered Sharon's body in her home. He took his young daughter outside  and quickly dialed 911.

"Somebody is hurt real bad here though and I need somebody to get here as fast as they can get here please," said William Randall Aydelott.

The dispatcher tried to help him remain calm in front of his daughter.

"Are you with them now?" "No, I've got my little girl and I'm trying to get her to the neighbor's house."

After dropping his daughter off, he quickly ran to Sharon's home. Explaining to the 911 dispatcher he was afraid to speak in front of his daughter.

Saying he knew his son William Brandon Aydelott was to blame.

"My son, my son I know she's dead he stabbed her in the head... I saw her laying in the floor."

The call continues from there but becomes too graphic to share. The son William Brandon Aydelott was arrested three hours later.

Deputies say he confessed to the murder. He is now charged with second degree murder.
