Milton family cooks big meal for troops
A Milton family took in some local soldiers to say thanks today.
Jacquie Gray along with her family and friends welcomed 30 airmen into their home. They prepared 16 turkeys -- hams --- ribs -- and plenty more. The family made everything at home by hand. They say it takes them weeks to prepare. But they say it's worth all the work to make sure the soldiers feel at home for the holiday.
"To host service members who are away from home, mostly for the first time, so these are younger kids. To make them feel at home, and to remind them at they're somebody's child and that they're loved."
"That's something to be thankful for, because you got people in this world that aren't like that. So when you get things like this it's really easy to be happy."
The family and friends say they've been hosting troops for Thanksgiving for about 15 years.
