Hawaii close to becoming the 16th state to legalize same sex marriage

Hawaii is one step closer to legalizing same sex marriage.
The State's House of Representatives passed the "marriage equality act".
Amendments were added to protect clergy and religious institutions who choose not to provide wedding goods or services to same sex couples.
The legislation heads to the State Senate, where it is expected to pass. If approved, the measure will go into effect early next month.
