'Whitey' Bulger sentenced today
Boston mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger will spend the rest of his life in prison.
The 84-year was convicted of 11 killings and a string of other charges including extortion and money laundering. This morning the judge over the case told Bulger his crimes were "heinous" and "all about money."
She then sentenced him to two consecutive life sentences, plus five years. Bulger was a fugitive for more than 16 years until he was captured in Santa Monica, California in 2011.
