Pensacola Bay Center overhaul

PENSACOLA  --  Escambia County is considering whether to spend up to five million dollars fixing up the Pensacola Bay Center.

County commissioners are deciding how to spend Local Option Sales Tax Money.
They're looking at three options for the aging Bay Center.

One they'd spend about one million dollars, over five years on things like retractable seating and resurfacing the parking lot.

Two would add a lot of building upgrades, kitchen renovations, a new generator and box truck for a total of 3.5 million.

The third option just over five million dollars would also upgrade the sound system and new equipment to take care of the ice for hockey.
The commissioners could make a decision as early as tomorrow.
