Update: Power in the Philippines should take months to restore

It will be weeks, if not months, before power is fully restored in parts of the Philippines.

Cities hit hard by super typhoon Haiyan are still without electricity, more than a week later.
The city of Ormoc reportedly had most of its infrastructure destroyed and now doesn't even have power poles.

"We hope to be able to restore at least partial electrical power to certain potions of the city by December 9th."

But full restoration of power is expected to take months.

The death toll from super typhoon Haiyan has reached more than 36 hundred people.
Almost 12 hundred are still missing.
