BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Florida tourism set a record for this year

Another record for Florida tourism.

Nearly 23 millions people visited the State between July and September this year.
   
Governor Rick Scott says that is the largest "third quarter" for visitation in state history.
   
It is a nearly two-percent increase over the same period last year.
   
There have been 72 million visitors in all from January through September.
   
Scott say it's his goal to reach 100 million visitors by the end of the year.
