The Ku Klux Klan held a rally on the Gettysburg Battlefield

The Ku Klux Klan says that they were here to spread the word that they are not a terrorist group.

They say the groups purpose is to defend the constitution and be an American.

Carl Whittick, a KKK member, says, "We are not a hate group. What we are is a white group of people who are interested in protecting and keeping their race pure and clean. That's why we're here today. We are sick and tired of people giving us a bad name for some of the things that have happened in the past. Yes, the Ku Klux Klan has done some things in the past that we are not proud of."
