Okaloosa County renter/sheriff eviction standoff

OKALOOSA COUNTY   --  A renter armed himself with a shotgun and refused to leave when an Okaloosa County sheriff's deputy tried to serve him an eviction notice.

The deputies went to the home on Booker Street in Crestview Monday afternoon.
They say Dewayne Moore refused to come to the door and it had been barricaded with appliances.

When they got into the house Moore was armed with a shotgun.
After a two hour stand off, he was taken into custody.

He is now charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
