Confederate flag controversy in Crestview

CRESTVIEW   --  The Crestview City Council will hold a special meeting to discuss the confederate battle flag now flown at the Bill Lundy Memorial.

The memorial is on the corner of Ferdon Boulevard and East First Avenue.
The president of the local NAACP chapter, Sabu Williams, asked the council to put a discussion of the flag on Monday's agenda.

A crowd filled the council chambers, while many others waited outside. The council voted to hold a special meeting, in a larger venue.

That meeting will be November 14th at 6 pm at the Crestview Community Center.
