MOBILE COUNTY - There is now one confirmed case of the flesh eating bacteria Vibrio Vulnificus in Mobile County.
Health officials say a man contracted it after entering the water with an open sore.
The bacteria thrives in warm brackish seawater.
It can enter your system by eating infected oysters or through a flesh wound while out swimming.
28-cases have been reported in Florida in the past few weeks resulting in nine-deaths.
There has been one case confirmed in Santa Rosa County.
They haven't said if its the same man who died last Friday after fishing in Santa Rosa Sound last week..
And one confirmed in Escambia County.
That man survived.
