Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Several Escambia County businesses robbed

ESCAMBIA COUNTY    --  Escambia County deputies are investigating four separate crimes involving businesses.

Deputies were called to three "Subway" restaurants this morning.
The restaurants on Highway 29, Pine Forest Road, and West Nine Mile Road were all hit by burglars.

There's no word yet on what was stolen.
Escambia deputies are also investigating a robbery at a gas station.
Deputies say a man walked into the "Murphy Express" on Navy Boulevard early this morning, and threatened the clerk.
The clerk ran away..
The robber took several items from the store.
