Fire continues to burn at Camp Pendleton

CALIFORNIA -- A fire burning on Camp Pendleton in California has consumed about 1,500 acres. The fire started just a little before 1:00 Saturday near Lake ONeill. Firefighters are using air tankers and helicopters to battle the blaze. More than 200 families have evacuated the Marine Corps' base and a hospital was closed for a short time as a precaution.
"Extra staffing levels, extra aircraft, extended hours for the aircraft are things that we kind of put in place."
"Hopefully the average person has done those things to prepare for this time of year...."
Base officials say they don't know yet what caused the fire to start.
