Syria begins destroying chemical weapons program

SYRIA   --  Syrians began destroying their country's chemical weapons program Sunday.

That's according to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons  an international team assigned to oversee the destruction.
   
The OPCW say Syrians are destroying and disabling missile warheads, aerial bombs and mixing and filling equipment
   
The team's mission is to monitor, verify and report on Syria's progress with disabling their weapons.
   
The inspectors plan to visit nearly 50 sites in Syria as part of the mission.
