Neighbors react to pot bust

ESCAMBIA COUNTY  --  A marijuana growing operation has been shut down and three suspects were arrested after an ongoing narcotics investigation in Escambia County.
33 marijuana plants and several other containers full of the plant were seized from this home in what neighbors call a family oriented street.

Thursday afternoon deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff Deputies served a search warrant at this  home in the 600 block of Wynnehurst Street.

Inside  they found 19 marijuana plants growing under a tent in the basement... 10 plants  in the garage and 4 others  growing  in the backyard.

In one of the bedrooms investigators also  discovered  pot hanging  on a string above a bed. A scale and several baggies  of the weed were  found throughout the house along with other items used in  growing.

Officers arrested  60 year old Larry Lynch   along with his son 33 year old Christopher Lynch and  33 year old Lea Lawrence. The bust is unnerving to some neighbors but not others.

Neighbor-"To know that kind of activity is growing up the street is surprising."

Colleen Lowee- Neighbor "It's not heroin. If there was junkies puking in the streets, Ii might have a problem."

All three suspects agreed to an interview with investigators then were taken to the Escambia County Jail.
