Navy Yard shooter delusional during rampage

WASHINGTON   --  The FBI says the man who went on the deadly shooting rampage at the Washington Navy Yard, was under the "delusional belief that he was being controlled or influenced by electro-magnetic waves."

In this surveillance video released today you can see Aaron Alexis moving through hallways with a sawed-off shotgun.

The FBI says phrases were scrawled onto the gun reading "Better off this way" and "My elf weapon" which is believed to be a reference to electro-magnetic waves.

Alexis had been struggling with psychological problems.
And had sought treatment for insomnia in the weeks before the shooting.

He killed 12 people and wounded several others before being killed.
