ACLU files suit against Florida's DMV
FLORIDA -- Keeping the DMV from "automatically" suspending a criminal's license when they can't pay their court costs and fine.
That's the goal behind a law suit file by the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida.
The ACLU says the state has suspended the licenses of more than 200,000 drivers for not paying court costs and fees.
The organization says many don't have the ability to pay the money when they are first set free.
And without a license they argue they can't get a "good paying" job.
