FDLE completes investigations of two officer involved shootings

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  New developments tonight in two officer involved shootings in Escambia County.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has completed their investigations into both the James McGlothlin and Roy Middleton cases.
They are now reviewing the reports to determine what actions are appropriate.
Both shootings happened in July.
Deputies say they shot and killed James McGlothlin on 72nd Avenue after he stole a vehicle and ran.
Deputies say before the theft, McGlothlin committed several other crimes.
A few weeks later, on July 27th, Roy Middleton was shot in his driveway.
He was looking for a loose cigarette in his mother's car.
Deputies were responding to a call about a car break-in at the time.

Middleton 's thigh was shattered by a bullet when two deputies fired at him 17 times.
