Deputies found not personally liable in 2010 shooting case

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  Four Escambia County deputies are not personally liable for shooting a woman being held hostage by her ex-boyfriend.

A federal judge has dismissed claims against the deputies filed by Jackie Rosenbloom.
She accuses Sheriff David Morgan and the deputies of negligence and excessive force.
In 2010 she was caught in the crossfire of a standoff off Scenic Highway.
Rosenbloom was used as a shield by Philip Monier.

She was shot five times in the neck and legs.
Monier was hit in the hand and not seriously injured.

Monier is currently serving a life sentence for attempted murder and other crimes.
The claims against Morgan still stand.
