Veterans ride jet skis for fallen heroes

Six teams of combat veterans are heading from Florida to New York on jet skis to raise money for charity and honor fallen heroes.

The trip is called the "Never Quit Challenge." Teams departed from Key West this morning on the 1,600 mile journey. The organizer says it was designed to bring the military community together.

"The Never Quit Challenge is designed for veterans who are either active duty, disabled or former veterans to have an adventure ride similar to the challenges that they're used to in training formats."

The teams will ride a minimum of eight hours a day. They plan to arrive in New York city on September 11th welcomed by New York City firefighters at ground zero.
