Grand theft arrest

A Navarre woman is accused of stealing *thousands of dollars from a non-profit group.    

Tamara King is the former treasurer of the organization "Friends of the Mary Esther Library".
She was arrested on Friday, after an investigation by the Okaloosa sheriff's office.
In August, the president of the group reported money was missing from their bank account and that his signature had been forged.
Deputies say, King forged more than twenty-seven checks totaling more than 13,000 dollars, between march 2012 and August 2013.
