Governor appears to blame Florida's great recession on previous leader
FLORID -- It appears Govenror Rick Scott is blaming Florida's great recession on Former Governor Charlie Crist.
Scott says because of Florida's unique tax structure and proximity to the Panama Canal, the economic downturn "never should have happened".
He never calls Crist out by name, but many feel his statement is directed at his predecessor.
Scott's story is that policies put into place by legislative leaders and the executive over the last three years have had a dramatic impact on turning the economy around.
Asked if the pitch was the beginning of the 2014 campaign, Scott said he was just stating the facts.
