Despite DC permit denial, 2 million bikers remember 9/11

A group called 2 million bikers to DC called its members to action in a Facebook post stating the groups permit to ride motorcycles in Washington D.C. was denied. The group has released several statements on the Facebook page, announcing that the purpose of the motorcycle ride, set for September 11th, was to honor those who were killed on the September 11th, 2001 attacks.

The group has announced that despite the denial of the permit, it intends to conduct the ride anyway on Wednesday September 11th, 2013. According to the Titan of Trinidad blog, the permit was denied by the National Park Service for resource issues. The groups Facebook page reports a back and forth process with the permit agency, with one post stating that documents had been overnighted after a request for more information.
