Army looks to replace M-4 carbine rifle
The Army has found a way to shoot taxpayers in the wallet. The gun of choice for the Army in Iraq and Afghanistan has been the M-4 carbine rifle. But under pressure --the Army went in search of a new weapon to replace the M-4.
The Pentagon was prepared to spend up to $2 billion on replacement firearms. After testing several weapons -- the army cancelled its quest to acquire a new model.
