Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Santa Rosa County SWAT standoff ends peacefully

SANTA ROSA COUNTY   --  A three hour stand off in Santa Rosa County is over and two people are in custody.

Deputies went to a home on Appaloosa Avenue in Milton after a man they were serving warrants on refused to get out of his house.

That stand off ended around 3:30.
It all started at the house behind me.
Busted windows and open door, the SWAT Team had to force themselves in.
Deputies came out here to serve multiple warrants on Joshua Mauldin.
Those warrants mostly dealing with property crimes.
He refused to get out of his house, after several attempts by deputies.
When they realized someone else was inside, SWAT came out here.
After about three hours, they arrested Mauldin  along with a woman who was with him.
